SOURDOUGH YOGA FARM RETREAT

Saturday, July 27 from 10am to 3pm

Cost: $120 / person

Join us for a unique experience at Ananda Valley Farm, where the art of sourdough making, the peace of gentle yoga, and the abundance of sustainable farming converge. This retreat will include hands-on sourdough making, a gentle yoga session with singing bowls, a farm-to-table lunch, and a guided farm tour.

Hands-on Sourdough Making: Immerse yourself in the art of sourdough baking under the guidance of an experienced baker. Learn to maintain a sourdough starter, make and stretch dough, and bake delicious sourdough bread. Ingredients will be provided, and you will take home an in-process dough for baking at home, a sourdough starter for future loaves, a dough whisk, and a dough scraper.

Ananda Yoga: Restore your body and mind with a gentle yoga session tailored to all experience levels. Enjoy the healing vibrations of Tibetan singing bows during deep relaxation and center yourself with guided pranayama and meditation.

Farm Tour: Embark on a guided tour of our no-till farm as you explore lush gardens, observe seasonal crops, and connect with the rhythms of the season. Gain insights into the journey from farm to table and the importance of organic farming principles.

Farm-to-Table Lunch: Enjoy a vegetarian lunch with produce from the farm and freshly baked sourdough bread.

What to bring: Please bring a mixing bowl with a lid (or towel) for making your dough, and a pint size jar or container to take home sourdough starter.

At our farm, we believe in the healing power of nature. That's why we offer Community Project Days - a chance to recharge, feel inspired, and connect with the land.

 

Engage in hands-on farming activities; chant, pray and meditate in a group to attune to the harmony of life; and cultivate a deeper connection with nature and he community around you.

 

Join us for a day of nature immersion, friendship, and transformation - all while helping us tend to our farm and build a joyful future.

Farm Tours

Experience conscious farming in action, connect with nature, and slow down for a peaceful break from the busyness of everyday life. Our guided tours offer an interactive and educational journey through our farm, while giving you the chance to recharge and immerse yourself in the natural beauty around you.

Our farm is based on the teachings of meditation and yoga and everything we offer begins from a practice of quieting the heart and mind in order to feel a deeper joy emanating from our center.

Farm-To-Table Dinner

Cost: $50 / person

Join us for a delightful Farm-To-Table Dinner at Ananda Valley Farm! 

2:30pm Farm Tour: Embark on a guided tour of our no-till farm as you explore lush gardens, observe seasonal crops, and connect with the rhythms of the season. Gain insights into the journey from farm to table and the importance of organic farming principles.

 

4:00pm Farm-to-Table Dinner: Enjoy a vegetarian dinner lovingly made with produce from the farm.

Shakespeare-Themed Entertainment: Our evening will be enjoyed with Shakespeare-themed music throughout the course of the evening.

What to bring: Please bring sturdy walking shoes and layers as temperatures my cool down as the evening winds down.
